Secretary-General to the President
  • The Office of the President has a secretary-general to the president who takes general charge of the affairs of this Office, and directs and supervises its staff members.
Deputy Secretary-General to the President
  • Deputy secretary-generals to the president assist the secretary-general to the president.
First Bureau
  • promulgation of laws and decrees
  • appointment and removal of civil servants and military officers
  • handling of matters regarding the nomination of officials whose appointment requires the consent of the Legislative Yuan as stipulated by the Constitution
  • handling of matters pertaining to the five government branches (the five Yuan), the General Staff of the Ministry of National Defense, and the provincial/special municipality governments
  • translating and handling of correspondence and documents in foreign languages
